Chimert began with a simple observation: millions of Africans living abroad still crave the food they grew up on, and there was no reliable, affordable way to get it to them.
We exist to close that gap. We process, preserve and package authentic indigenous African foods to export standard at our Ikeja facility, and deliver them to customers across Africa, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia by air and sea.
Chimert Foodmart produces the Chimert range of indigenous African foods. Its sister company, Chimert Concepts & Logistics Limited, is the sole distributor of every Chimert Foodmart product, giving us direct control of the chain from the processing floor to the customer's door, anywhere in the world.
Incorporated in December 2021 and fully operational since 2023, we are a team of twelve working from our Ikeja head office and production plant and our Lagos distribution branch.

Over thirty indigenous African foods (flours and staples, palm oil, dried fish, traditional superfoods and spices) processed, preserved and packaged to export standard.
Export & logistics →
Air and sea shipping to customers across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia, for food items, personal effects, cosmetics and fashion, in partnership with DHL, Aramex and FedEx.
Export academy & training →
Programmes in food processing and packaging, export and import procedure, documentation, and finding and qualifying buyers abroad. Over 6,000 people trained.

Joy founded Chimert to solve a problem she saw clearly: Africans abroad wanted the food of home, and no one was delivering it to them reliably or affordably.
She leads the company's processing operations, export and logistics arm, academy and contract manufacturing business. Under her leadership, Chimert has grown into a registered exporter processing over thirty indigenous products, serving customers in more than ten countries, and training over six thousand Nigerians to build export businesses of their own.
Chimert has been recognised as Outstanding Shipping Company in Lagos by the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.
